A marked trail of 65 km, from Nazaré to Cafernaum:
Jesus spent most of his life in the region of Galilee, walking between the cities and the picturesque villages mentioned in the Gospels.
Following in the footsteps of Jesus it is possible to find a mosaic of landscapes and cultures (Arab Christians, Arab Muslims, Druze and Jews), all living together in an authentic ethnic paradise in Galilee.
Enjoy a long and adventurous 3-4 day walk in the rugged and beautiful landscape of the Galilee. An experience in the Holy Land that will leave you, for a long time, with blessed memories.
The Jesus Trail offers Christian tourists and pilgrims the opportunity to step on the same ground Jesus and his disciples walked, to appreciate the natural and spiritual beauty where everything happened.
Without running from one place to another, you can walk unhurriedly down the Jesus Trail for three or four days. You have a plethora of lodging options - from hotels to campgrounds, and there are plenty of places to shop for water and food along the way. There are public buses available at most start points and endpoints.
Among the many highlights that exist along the trail is possible:
Explore the markets and alleys of Nazareth, the place of Jesus' childhood.
Pray in the Basilica of the Annunciation, and discover how the Synagogue Church received its name.
Visit Cana where there was the wedding party where Jesus made his first miracle, turning the water into wine.
Visit Tabgha, with its impressive view of the Sea of Galilee, the traditional site of the miracle of the multiplication of breads and fish.
Feeling the calm of Cafernaum, the place that served as a base for Jesus during his ministry in Galilee.
Climb the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus gave his Sermon on the Mount.
Bathing in the Yardenit Baptismal Recanto, on the Jordan River, where John the Baptist baptized Jesus.
And there is much more to see on the way ... Byzantine mosaics, tranquil gardens, a thirteenth-century Muslim fortress, natural hot springs ...
